I recently bought the two chips in the flip. I have had the third one in my collection for years and so I listed my extra chip on eBay. The ID of Jeffersonville has been disputed for quite some time so I listed it "Jeffersonville?" pointing out in the listing that it is listed in TGT and at least one other source as Jeffersonville BUT that ID is questionable. Yesterday Gene posted that the chip was from Twelfth Street Recreation Club, 121 1/2 E. 12th St. KC Missouri and I changed the listing to the positive ID. I don't think I did anything unethical at all here.
Look lets face it! We are the people that come here and discuss the chips and research them and eventually agree to the history of these chips BUT unless other collectors follow this board to find out the latest news and IDs on the chips, they only have what is in print to tell them where the chip is from. They are looking at the guide and it says Jeffersonville, I don't think pointing out that the Jeffersonville ID is questionable is unethical at all. So the listing now has been corrected to reflect the KC ID and I hope that we can go on with having some FUN. Please? Thanks!
