If you block auctions to those that have at least 3 bids, as you suggest, then you will miss hundreds of auctions, some of whom you probably wanted to see.

Your best bet is to watch the auction, then choose the "closed auction" tab to see how the item sold in the past.

Blocking items just means you're missing out.
