The last couple of days my computer has frozen on me 3 or 4 times.

That is like me calling you up and saying "my car won't start". Too many possibilities. Simple answer is a driver inconsistency all the way to a piece of software has violated ring-zero memory to a bad memory chip.

Think back over the last few days when this started. Anything updated (either manually or automatically) or anything change?
