I bought a small set of CIC chips from the Sahara and this one was included with the lot. I did not take it apart - it just separated on its own. It looks like the two haves were just glued in place. I'm not sure you could put it back together and not have the clay part show some impact but you can see it is easy enough to get the parts. I have no opinion on the chip in question...
