and like Bedo it was Vegas and I no longer know where it is. A couple friends from college and I went to Vegas on a Bob Stupack Vegas World package where you got $500 is Free Play chips and a 2 night for some set price (can't remember how much now).
It was a joke. It's the ONLY time I've ever played "free play" chips before, but I quickly found out it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. First off, you could only play them at certain limit tables - maybe $25? Then, if you won the bet, they exchanged your free play chip for a real chip. So, if you bet $25 FP chip and won, you got a $25 real chip BUT they took your $25 FP chip away. If you lost, they just take it away. Is that how it always works? I quickly lost most of the chips.
Then, the 2 night hotel room... well apparently there was a clause in the package deal that they could send us to one of their satelite motels instead of staying in Vegas World. We ended up on a shuttle to the Thunderbird Motel where we found a dirty room with stained sheets and a green pool. It was horrible. Of course we were young and it was Vegas so we made the most of it. Heck, it was probably cleaner than my dorm room!
So, when I got home I realized I had accidently kept one of the $25 free play chips. Since I never again stepped foot in the Vegas World casino it became the first on my eventual casino chip collection. After I popped around Nevada for awhie, I moved to riverboat and Indian chips after being corrupted by Susong and then finally to illegals. I have no idea whatever happened to that Vegas World chip. It's probably sitting in a box somewhere to be discovered years from now.
