I think that 9/11 has more meaning to families and friends who lost loved ones during that brutal attack on innocent people, who did nothing wrong other than to show up for work on that fateful day, than it means to those who did not lose loved ones or friends. Additionally, so many New Jersey residents who worked near the WTC, who could view the horrific scene from across the river in NJ and along the Jersey Coast, have stamped an indellible image in their brain forever that perhaps people from other parts of the country who did not witness this event in real time can not fathom 12 years later. I understand where Rich was coming from based on the subject line ... (I don't think Rich was being political) and I can appreciate the intent of Mike's post.
