10-12 years ago, my wife and I were in Vegas. We had driven, and for the trip, I had a small automatic pistol (.25) in my backpack along with a camera and various other things. Well, we went to Sam's Town, and I had forgotten that it was in the backpack, which I had brought in. I realized it after we were there for 10 minutes or so. Anyway in a little while, there was something loudly on the PA system "security breach"! Well, I immediately hustled us outta there, expecting at any moment to be halted by guards. Afterwards I concluded that the pistol probably couldn't have been detected (or could it?), and felt kinda foolish. Now remember this wasn't too long after 9-11.
