Has anyone here ever seen plaques stacked around the MGM wheel back then... or at PARIS LAS VEGAS... or know for a fact the same wheel (I think I remember two at MGM within the rope) from MGM was used at PARIS-Las Vegas?
5K and 10K plaques were stacked around the wheel at the Paris. I've been told 25K and 50K plaques were made for that wheel, but I never saw one. ...not even when playing the game with a crown prince from the United Arab Emerates at the table. He must have liked the game as much as I did because he was playing it the same time I was on at least three different Las Vegas visits! The dude should have been betting the same stuff that I was betting, but more than once he was betting contra to my bets. I was winning while betting $120-$500 a spin (felt like pitching pennies) and he was losing at $5,000 + a spin! The year that wheel was on the floor at the Paris I was flying to Vegas every month to play it. I went home with more money than I arrived with 11 out of 12 months. More than a decade later, I still really miss that table!
I was told by one of the table-dedicated pit critters (it was high limit full-time - $25 inside or outside early or all night weekdays, raised to $100 inside or outside later in the evening on weekends) that the table was indeed a table used at the MGM. I never played or saw the game at the MGM so I have no knowledge as to whether or not there was more than one.
