I'm not sure the color samples were ever intentionally made into different sets for the salesmen; more likely, the hot-stamping was done by a different machine or even in a different place (Las Vegas, San Luis, or ?). Different set of marking dies anyway. I'd be more inclined to call the intact chips and those drilled for a bead-chain different sets.
I have about 50 different colors of the stamped and undrilled samples made about 15 years ago if anyone needs them. $2 each.
