Here's an interesting post office story that happened to me a month ago. Has to do with Delivery Confirmation. Happy ending.

I sold about $50 worth of stuff to a guy in Texas. He paid with PayPal, and for whatever reason, the PayPal postage-address label (that comes with Delivery Confirmation service for free) gave a CALIFORNIA address by mistake [no apartment number, by the way -- just his name and street address on it]. (He moved from California to Texas some months ago. He claims that he changed his address with PayPal, but who knows what the truth is.)

Here's the interesting part: somehow (maybe due to "efficiency" and laziness) the post office scanned the mail piece as DELIVERED to the California address even though he didn't live there!!!! Surprise happy ending: a month later I received the parcel back from the post office as undeliverable/bad address!!!!
