I try to visit once every time I'm in Vegas. I have seen a couple of bands there and that is a real trip. Tight and cramped, loud and sweaty! The Double Down has the best jukebox I have ever seen, something for everyone!

I sat there with my friend Martin a couple of years ago on a Tuesday afternoon. After a couple of beers Martin got a the bartenders attention and asked if he had any drink tokens. The guy said he wasn't sure and went in the back. He came out with a box full of pens, pencils, paper clips, rubber bands, etc. He pulled out a drink token and gave it to Martin. Martin was really excited as he had never seen anything from the Double Down. He asked if he had anymore and the bartender said that that was the only one in the box, and if it wasn't in that box they don't have anymore.

Funny thing, right after the guy gave Martin the token the power went out in the bar. It is very dark to start with, and once the lights go out, it is a black hole. All we could hear was the regulars swearing up a storm that they were gonna lose their credits on the VP machine.

There is also an episode of "COPS" the Fox TV program that features the Double Down. There was a fight and a bloody nose and several drunk people. Pretty funny!

Oh yeah, try the "ass juice" next time you are in the Double Down, you wont be sorry! :-)
