The Banknote selected today is the 2012 Philippine 100 Piso, printed by Oberthur Technologies of France. The reason I selected the note was because of all the hoop-la and conspiracy theorists tales of our own notes surrounding the illuminati and Free Masons. The note, Masonic centennial Commemorative note and it, as other 100 piso notes display the United States flag along with the flag of the Philippines. Food for ‘conspiracy’ thoughts right?
Made for numismatists in mind, 100 piso commemorative notes have been printed since 2005 when the president’s name was misspelled by Oberthur. The 100 pesos (US$2.40), 2012. Like P194, but with Masonic overprint. This note was originally available only in sheets of four uncut notes packaged in a folder. Since then, the BSP has begun issuing individual notes into circulation. The overprint reads "Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, Philippines" with the group's logo and "100 Years" ENJOY!!!
