I doubt it was me--when I first started to "restore" chips (no longer do so except with antique non-casino chips, I used a drop of "vitamin e" oil. I think Dale or Allen or maybe Kenny Craig got me on that stuff. You had to wipe off the oil or the chips glued themselves together. I now use a furniture wax.
