Your posts of route tokens got me to thinking, Gary. Does anyone know how many slot route operators there were (are?) in Las Vegas? Has the concept gone away with the demise of tokens, or do they still run their routes, just using paper tickets?
Here is a list that came from Wikipedia:
Slot route operators
Silver State Gaming
Century Gaming
Eagle Rock Gaming
E.T.T. Inc. - Terrible Herbst
Golden Route Operations - Golden Gaming
Green Valley Gaming
PDS Gaming Corporation
Southwest Gaming Services
S.S.M Gaming
Video Services
Who can add to the list?
Do collectors of route tokens organize their collection by place name or by route operator name?
Janice O'Neal maintained a list of route tokens (which I don't have). I'm curious as to how many Nevada route tokens are known. Dan's web site has a lot; a quick estimate is over 1000!

I do collect higher denomination tokens and have found only a couple of $5 route tokens. All others were $1 denomination.
