Did this change for this year's convention Doug? Yes I book via our club site and make sure the code is on the reservation. I know this is very important to having a successful convention. You can't beat the room quality/convention space/etc. for the money. I know nothing is free at a convention and some members think if you bring in a couple thousand people to their casino they will open the flood gates and give you everything for free. NO WAY. The Riv can't even compare with the South Point in veer way from room to food to convention space/rooms. But some want to see it go back to the strip and I have no idea why unless they are rich and don't care about paying $10 for a dog and a soda.

Just wanted to rant to keep the convention at the SP as no case can be made for the Riv or Trop unless they give us all free rooms.

It takes a hell of a lot of work to negotiate and draw up contacts for what is best overall for our membership. It is a job that gets little praise to say the least. I hope they can sign another extended contract.
