I haven't heard of the prom theme being casino, but for a number of years I dealth Black Jack for the party afterwards that was a lock up type ( Once in no leaving until 5:00am. ) Play money was used and it ended with an aution of donated items - nice stuff. If we kept one teenager from a DWI we succeeded. If we prevented one death from a car wreck as there always seems to happen - we are elated.
