I see TCR catalog prefixes are already up to Dxxxx. That's the last unique letter available in NEVADA so it appears we're working on the 40.000-50.000 block of numbers. Any thought on what will be used next?
I hope we don't start re-using cancelled numbers, and duplicates assigned to the same chip.
I like the use of the xxxxx.y suffix method to designate variations like roulette colors and cancelled chips; that will extend the supply of base mumbers. It also makes it easy to find all the variations of a base chip, since the appear sequentially in TCR.
I guess there's nothing wrong with using other letters of the alphabet, hopefully skipping I and O. Who would have thought 20 years ago NEVADA wouldn't provide enough numbers? Of course, that was before the "Invasion of the LE" which greatly increased the requirements for numbers for new-issue chips.
