In 1970 (NY) I bought a brand new Jag XKE and ordered a plate with my initials "JVB" that turned out to be JVB-70 (which meant I was the 70th nut with JVB initials in NY to do the same thing ).

I finally sold it in the mid-70s after moving to Florida in 1972, to a guy who not only had the same initials as I did... but it was the "70" (I forget why) that really struck him. It sold for $100...

Kept the Jag for less than a year; a real piece of crap of a car...
