Last week while attending a local auction, I thought that I was getting a great deal bidding on three oz of silver. They were 1 troy oz bars with the Canadian maple leaf design on them. So, I had my hopes up of winning those.

So the bids started 5, 6, 7, then I bid $15 and it was sold! Why so cheap? Then after winning and receiving it.. I looked a little closer and it said 'CLAD'! Ouch! So, now I really don't know how much true silver there is? It's probably electro-plated? Hmmm

After checking ebay, some people actually paid upwards of $8 for just one of these bars, but then as low as $1 a bar. They do look nice, and may (possibly) be collectible.

So, I thought I'd try my luck and just re-list them and take the hit anyway.
