If you still need some of the examples by the time of the convention -- such as the gouged, nicked, clipped, partial hot stamp missing, etc. -- I suggest shopping the bargain boxes.

Though it hurts a bit to think about it, it would be easy to gouge, nick or clip a bargain box chip, for educational purposes, if you don't receive a donated example.
