I thought it was good - and I could take it with me when I traveled and use my laptop. I stopped using it because they had failed - after many years - to keep their promise of "number portability" (which they finally offer now).

I plan to set up a new account as soon as I find my device. I am assuming I can use my old device just by paying the $20 service per year - but I notice that the MagicJack site is now touting a "Plus" model and they are suspiciously silent about the cost of it.

I looked into Ooma but its up-front price scared me away.
