For many years The Chipboard has been my absolutely favorite web site to visit.
As a chip collector, there is more information about chips available here than anywhere else on the planet. Chips for sale, Chips for trade, Pictures of chips, Stories about chips, Questions about chips, and best of all, Answers about chips.
But this board is much more than just about chips and casino collectable's. Its a place where friends can meet. Where people can discuss the topics of the day, announce special events in their lives, boast about their favorite teams, talk about their favorite TV shows and much much more.
Its an incredible tool that was brought to us by Greg Susong and I will forever be grateful for his contribution.
We are very fortunate that even with Greg's passing, we have had people step up to take over Greg's legacy. I am very happy that David has made every attempt in keeping the rules of the board in accordance with what Greg intended.
For those that are not familiar, I urge everyone to read the link at the upper right hand of the page titled "First time Users" or see this link:

Now I would like to discuss what the Chipboard is NOT.
The Chipboard, its posters and its content are NOT the . The Club does not own, operate, maintain or police The Chipboard.
Yes, there are a lot of members that post here. However a vast majority of club members have never ever read the chipboard.
There is no requirement for membership here.
I am shocked to hear from people that they make a decision on whether or not to become a member of the club on what happens here on the chipboard. I honestly don't see how people keep making that correlation.
There are many reasons to become a member of the which I have outlined in previous posts. But to make a decision based on something that has nothing to do with the club just makes no sense.
I respect anyone decision to not become part of a club. it could be because you don't like the people in charge, you don't like the policies, you don't like some of the members. But to blame something that happens on the Chipboard for a decision like that seems a little ludicrous.
If you really don't like what you see here, wouldn't if be more reasonable to quit collecting than to quit the club? the percentage of collectors that visit the board are much greater than that of club members?
Now I am not suggesting that anyone quit the hobby or the club.
In fact I completely understand and appreciate what this board has meant to the hobby and even the club.
The only point I am trying to make is that this board is NOT the club and the club is NOT the Chipboard. These are 2 distinct entities and are not directly related, no matter what some people might constantly claim.
That's my story and I am sticking to it.......
Happy collecting,
Doug
