Being relatively new to the hobby and board (about 18 months), I have had mixed results on this board. I have dealt with many people who are GREAT! And I really mean GREAT! They want to do nothing more than help.....and discuss chips. However, there are a small number of members that are agressive, condescending and rude. Some of these members are not "fringe" members but 1 in particular holds a prominant position within the club. There have been a few times in the last 18 months in which I couldn't believe how I was being treated. I try my hardest to let it go though...

But as someone else says.....You have them everywhere. In all, I LOVE the hobby and this is the best club/board in the hobby so I will be a member.....But I can't say I don't wish it was a little warmer to newcomers. On a couple of occassions, I have seen a person be showered with kindness when discussing the "potential" desire to become a member. People throw offers at them and give them 100 reasons why they should join. They decide to join and pretty quickly hit a brick wall. It is tough to watch.
