being a club member, the only tangible benefit I get is the magazine, which to me is worth the dues. I also join to support the hobby. If you go to conventions, etc., there are even more advantages. Above all, though, I think it's more important to keep people in the hobby than it is to keep people in the club. I guess I don't see how not being in the club, changes the experiences that led you to leave the club, though. Sounds like those things were really separate from the club itself. Still, it's a decision only you can make.
Glad you keep enjoying the hobby. That's what it's for.
