I find it interesting that everyone who is anti guns in America is coming out of the woodwork.
What was used to kill all those innocent children was not an assault type weapon, it was a handgun that millions of Americans own and are protected under our Constitution by our founding fathers.
What is never shown all over the paper are the thousands of people who were able to protect their families from harm because they owned a gun.
Funny as drunk driving kills more people in America than guns ever will, yet there seems to be no call to ban Alcohol.
What about auto accidents? Thousands of innocent people die each year in auto accidents. Should we ban cars?
Will banning handguns stop anything?
Lets look at drugs. We made them illegal to own. Did that stop the use of drugs? Some people claim we have a bigger problem with drugs than we ever had before.
While its easy to say because these victims were killed with a gun we can stop such incidents by banning guns, that simply wont solve the problem.
Laws dont stop criminals from doing what they want to do
Laws dont stop insane people from doing what they want to do
Laws dont stop evil people from doing what they want to do
There is no simple solution, I wish there was.
My heart goes out to the families I this insane tragedy, but taking everyone's rights doesn't fix anything.
