Shown below is a chip hotstamped "El Cortez". Unfortunately,the chip is broken into 4 pieces !!! The script on the chip matches the script on some older chips from the El Cortez in Las Vegas, but the Zig-zag Mold is not listed for any chips used in the El Cortez Casino in Vegas.

Curiously there are some chips from the Trocadero in Reno which was located in the "El Cortez" Hotel which are on the Zig-zag mold but this chip is not listed as being from the Trocadero.

Does anyone else have a similar chip or know anything about this chip. Was it from Vegas ?? Reno?? or somewhere else ??

I got the chip back in 1996 as a gift from Howdy Herz for my Roulette (non-denominational chip) collection.
