Looking at the map and seeing the big pier in the water at the end of your photo - my guess is that the location of the old Elks Club.

That view in your photo is looking down Hornby Avenue to the dock and the water. Dunsmuier is a cross street. So the Elks looks to be on the NW corner of Dunsmier and Hornby - (the north-south streets are not true north-south, they are actually oriented NE-SW). On the bottom photo it is now occupied by the building with the for lease sign in the window.
