Blue Chip Co. "Sun" mold + Note for ChipGuide

The Las Vegas-based Blue Chip Co. produced "Sun" mold chips for some Nevada casinos. The mold looks like this --

If my info is correct, Blue Chip Co. was acquired by GPI/Paulson, and there won't be further orders on the "Sun" mold to Nevada casinos. (Including re-orders too??) Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

If correct, that means that, over time, those casinos that used "Sun" mold chips will need to switch to another mold ... meaning, more chip issues!!!

Off the top of my head, I recall Peppermill-Reno using this mold for some $1 - $3 - $5 chips (total of 9 issued). They have already reordered a new $1 rack chip, using the "G" mold by Gemaco. See pics below (from ChipGuide). The D, in Las Vegas, opened with 6 different "Sun" mold chips, in denominations of $1 through $500. No reorder as yet, from The D.

The latest TCR shows a total of 185 "Sun" mold chips at Nevada casinos, so there are many others out there. But I don't have a database to develop a list of casinos to watch for replacement molds over time.

A final note for ChipGuide website -- the Peppermill and The D chips shown above are noted as "Sunfly" mold, not "Sun" / Blue Chip Co. mold. Sunfly is a different chipmaker ,producing ceramic chips like Chipcos.
