I can't imagine why a lens or acetate seal would be put over that inlay material. It was meant to stand up to play, just like the normal plain mold inlaid chips. The inlay is not just sitting there, it's pressed into the clay material. I wonder if this was a production test piece of some sort. I've not seen anything like it in use anywhere. It's a puzzlement.
