Here is a scan of the chip from the thread below at 600 dpi. I think Don Lueders is correct - it appears that the White A was added to the chip after it had been hotstamped. The A is NOT inlaid but rather painted/silk screened on the surface of the chip. You can see how the white color is over the V in Vegas.

So this might have been an Arodie Sample chip that was made up for LVC and never used for some reason and the White A was added at a later time. We may be getting closer to some sort of consensus on what this chip really was !!!
