Couple of comments David.

First, in the U.S. many people really don't have a choice of ISPs if you want high speed internet access. You are stuck with the local cable company (Comcast in my case). In some metro areas there are choices such as AT&T's U-verse and the cable company, but it's just not the case everywhere. Believe me, I would've gotten rid of Comcast a long time ago. I got rid of their cable service and switched to DirecTV, but I just don't have another option for internet access.

As for their battle being with Netflix, I don't doubt that, but the problem is that *ALL* the other sites I visit are fine, it's just the CB that gets very slow in the evening. I end up going to the CB site and then while waiting for it to load, I open a new tab and go to any other site I want to and have no problems at all. The problem had gone away for a while, but as others have noted, it's definitely back again.
