The Amelia Belle -- it's not on your GPS -- but located in deep Cajun country off the river system that feeds the Atchafalaya River's 137-mile-long (220 km) distributary of the Mississippi River and Red River in south central Louisiana just before you get to Morgan City. It's really a nice drive over the "true swamps" of Louisiana with an abundance of moss-laced cypress trees. Eventually, this route will become IH 49 linking New Orleans to Shreveport. The chips are already posted in the MOGH, but they are so pretty, in my opinion. Sort of fashioned after the Imperial Palace in Biloxi, MS. Enjoy the smart looking chips.
Oh, there are billboards directing you to the canal where the Belle is berthed.
