From a Canadian's perspective: I have absolutely no problem with people allowed to own or carry guns BUT.....I do think that there should be some restrictions on the types of guns that people should be allowed to own. Does the average citizen really need to own AK-47's or other even more deadly automatic weapons? I think that gun control is ok if it stops people from getting arsenals that can take out dozens of people in seconds. Really...why do they need that much firepower?
I do not know why people seen to overreact when the president talks about gun control. Gun control is just that:control. It is not outright banning.
