Pick up a car at Dollar Rental at the airport. It's a no-brainer. If you check their site every few days the rates will drop, so reserve now and "upgrade" as the rates fall. You'll eventually be able to get a car for about $14/day (plus taxes & fees) rather than paying $20 one-way for the Las Vegas taxi ride. I do this when I go to Vegas every year for the WSOP. And sign up for their Dollar Express card so you can skip the insane lines at the pick-up counter.
