The Red Garter lady with black fishnet stockings is nowhere to be found at the Red Garter. I guess it's the sign of the times with new ownership. It was decided to retire the beauty in stages. First she was taken off the chips, and now the sign. And, there's a new logo and carpet inside the nicely remodeled hotel and casino in Wendover. Also gone are all the real coin slot machines -- two and three coin play machines. No more coins clanging in the trays. On the positive side you can still get a ham steak, two eggs, biscuits and hash browns for $2.99 in a newly-recreated restaurant. As the sign says, when the Garter's new front is added, it won't be recognizable. Another piece of history going by the wayside. Oh, there's still $3 Royal Match Blackjack tables.
