I've always wondered about the spelling of this establishment. Was it Capitol Bar or Capital Bar?

Harvey Fuller's Index shows Capital Bar (no open or close dates):

Mark E. has an ashtray with Capitol Bar but the photo says Capital Bar:

I guess how it was spelled doesn't matter. It was a small town and everyone knew where it was.
