you can turn the tiles off from autoupdating or remove times that update off the screen. Overall i am getting used to it. Its quite different but of course if you go to the desktop you can still use a lot of the software you are used to.

Yeah, I turned off the updating tiles & purge the stuff I don't use. I basically live on the desktop.
It boots really fast which is a nice improvement.
