Is there any good way to tell what chips are current/cashable without stepping foot in every LV casino and make notes. Many have suggested using Paul's site, which I use but that doesn't get me all the way there.

On Paul's site, I can see what the last issue is. But does that mean that the previos edition is dead? Often times you see multiple chips in play at any given time at most casinos. Also, some casinos are strict about retiring their old chips and others aren't. I've heard that Caesars Palace for instance will cash any chip from any era.

So my question is this..... Is there any resourse that I can use to determine if a recent (but not last) edition is retired or cashable? I know that casinos are required to post a retiring in the paper and give holders time to redeem. Does anyone log these?
