The street address of 1161 Grant Street is a small house on Akron's south side valued at about $40,000. The house was built in 1918 so was Coatter's home at the time of the purchase. A JR Coatter Barber Shop has been in Akron for many years....barber shops and gambling not unusual. Best I can do after too much turkey (and rum).
