I am no expert but have a similar situation. You may have opened an e-mail from a trusted source and their e-mail was hacked. Everyone in their contact list probably got the same e-mail.

I opened an e-mail from someone I knew, the subject line was "Check this out" and it was a solication for a work at home system. Now all of my contacts are getting e-mails {from my e-mail address}with "(Their Name) Hey" or "Check this out". If you get anything you are not sure of on the internet do not open.
