Well, almost daily.
I vote "Riverboats"!
BTW - I saw that yesterday's What Can I Collect? post was challenged as to why you post on the Message Board and then post here linking to the Club's Message Board and going so far as to ask viewers to post reply messages there.
Well, this is how I see it, which is to endorse your method!
I have heard (all too often) that others are either not familiar with the Club's Message Board, or that no one goes there because nothing is ever posted there. So I see your postings as a way to foster interest and participation to the Club's Message Board, and in doing so, it does not really take anything away from TheChipBoard because you still post about the message and include a link, AND you pose a challenge of thought. (And Yes, some are better than others. )
I see Doug "Cigarman" Smith doing this weekly with his "Favorite of the Week" and more recently, Allan McCurdy is also doing this with his "Casino Collectibles" posts and I think this is a good thing. In as much that the Club is organized as an "Educational" and that we want to "Preserve" Gaming history, it only makes sense to promote the Club's knowledge-base and skill sets along this line by posting about such things. In doing so, and along with more people clicking the links to get there and then being there, it enhances the profile of how the Club's site looks to search engines.
Basically, the more visits, the better our profile looks to those searching for information.
Also, content appearing on the Club's website is an asset of the Club and the Club can opt to keep that content (archives) and perhaps use it in the future in support to the Club.
All-in-all, there are many reasons, in support to the Club, that I see you are doing by your actions (and those of others) and I can only say...
Keep it afloat!
Jim
