I just bought the Epson V33 for $79.00 at Office depot and the scan quality is amazing.

The downside is the poorly designed location for the cords and nighmarish Epson software.
I was hooking it up to a MAC so of course the Epson Mac software needed to be updated. Only took 3 hours to set up.
(Please don't tell me how great PC's are. After 25 years of PC's my MAC(s) have been a breath of fresh air. They actually work and I don't spend all my time fixing them and chasing viruses.)

I have many scanners and this one has the best quality.

whatever brand scanner you buy check the Specifications page to see the type of Photoelectric Sensor Device. Make sure it is CCD and NOT CIS.


CCD will give you close to true colors and CIS will not.
