It was just interesting. On the rail forums, people were commenting on the artists concepts and what would the train really be. Seems they couldn't find any recent sale of suitable cars, so that's a mystery. (amazing how well some people track locomotives and cars, by numbers and their history) One drawing shows a E9 or F9 and the other something resembling and Amtrak power unit, painted black with the X-Train logos.
Somewhere else, I read that the stock wasn't really traded, I guess I misunderstood. So you mean I can but into X-Train and have some pretty wall hanging?
Oh yes and the last part about the time and speed, apparently, greasing the palms of the freight services, who's track they would be using, can get a pass through. It's supposed to be that way for Amtrak, but I've seen and heard enough of the hold on sidings and personal travel reports to know, nothing moves on schedule, except maybe on the two coasts.
Now I want stock. I missed owning a worthless share of the Green Bay Packers (which can't be re-sold?) I'm thinking becoming a railroad tycoon could be entertaining. Go for a ride and say "Hey I own this train..."
Oh by the way, they did have private car rentals too, so maybe as a party train? They would need to do something about that parking problem and connections from LA.
