Still no power or heat and we are still at my mother's house. We were at the house today hoping to get the power back, but it was just a rumor. Emptied out the refrigerator. But I am thankful for what I have. I took a short drive to East Rockaway, NY, less than 2 miles away, and was shocked at what I saw. East Rockaway is on the bay and was flooded out. Outside of every house I saw a pile of debris of their belongings that are lost to the storm. They have no power and it is going down into the 30's tonight. Some have lost everything.
