Barb and I took a trip to the Mediterranean this month and saw a lot of neat places. Of course I picked up a few chips along the way. It doesn't appear to be much new but, it's fun to do the searching anyway. I picked up a few chips in Barcelona, Kotor, Dubrovnik, and Venice as well as chips from our ship, the Solstice. I did not get a single chip from France. Gaming started late in the day and just could buy anything while the ship was in port. Not much in the way of antique shops either. The chip that I paid the most for is one of the most generic looking ones. There was a blackjack tournament on the ship and it cost $25 to enter. You got the blue "1" chip that was to be handed in a the table when you sat down. I just wanted the chip. so I had to pay the $25 and skipped playing blackjack. Had one good experience at the cage on the ship. I always ask pit bosses and casino managers if I can get a roulette chip. 99% of the time they say "NO" or "Please, please I didn't here that question". This time, he said the chips on the tables are pretty crappy. Chips were brought out of the vault and he let me get each of the colors. I never expected that. How many times has anyone got the casino to sell you roulletes?
