Here is the $25 La Rue Story... A guy calls me and says he has 100 $25 La Rue chips… These were never found years ago when Paul found all the other denominations. He and his Aunt have been trying to find out what they were and if they were worth anything
He said he bought a safe 7 years ago out in California. He cracked it open and it was full of Money and this box of chips. He said over $1500 in cash and this box of chips. 7 years ago he couldn’t find out anything about them so just put them in a drawer in his LR. After a week or two of negotiating we came up with a deal. He flew out to Vegas to meet me Tuesday so I could see them in hand and tell him if I would agree. I paid a good price for them and now have them for sale. I will sell them here now and will list on all-chips.com later today and ebay this weekend.
There was
(#1) 8 chips pretty much UNC
(#2) 20+ AU- with a tiny nick or nicks or a smudge or something to make it not new. That’s just a tad over 30 chips. Now there is
(#3) 30 or so more that are very nice both sides. Same nicks or smudge but on 25% of the edge there is a fade mark from the sun light that hit them…

The other 40ish left are beat. Warped, faded completely or just plain worn out on a side. I will put them aside for now.

You can barley see on the right side of this chip where the fade is on the edge
