I talked to Bobby Hayden's daughter Laura and she told me that Bobby is suffering from Dementia/Alzhiemer's. He has been having problems for a while, but has progressively gotten worse since he attended the Chip Convention in June. He is now living with his daughter, who is caring for him. Bobby's wife passed away in March and this has added to his problems. Laura said that she doubts if Bobby will ever attend any more Conventions due to his memory loss problems.

Laura said physically Bobby is in great shape (except for his knees) but his memory and cognitive skills are fading away.

This is certainly sad news about a long time chip collector/dealer and a friend to many people in this Hobby. Unfortunately there is not much we can do to help him other than keep him in our thoughts and prayers.
