Hi there,
I have some questions about chips with UV security markings.
Just examind some chips with UV security markings, and some of those for instance have the H&C UV marking. I scanned my own chips, and also used the ChipGuide for futher information.
One of the chips (Bellagio) has the UV H&C marking, but not always on the same place. Sometimes in de middle, sometimes above the middle, etc. The example is the Bellagio $1 (CG06509). The ChipGuide handles the chips as seperate series (with a seperate CG-number), so making a real difference based on the position of the UV marking.
1. Just to understand why the UV marking is on different places on the chip. Is this related to a production moment? Or is the UV marking added by hand?
2. Is it correct to differentiate the chips by the position of the UV marking? I can imagine that each individual chip (probably depends on the production process) has the UV marking on another position.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Stefan
