in the 8th with my CARDINALS on the way out of the pennant chase, 6-3. When I woke, stumbled off to bed; arose at 5 a.m. got the paper and the CARDINALS had won! And I missed it.

I'm a rabid Cards fan but....if the Nats won and the Yanks won and if they had met in the World Series it would have been Damn Yankees reprise.
