Chips from the Pendleton Round-Up

The Pendleton Round Up started in 1910. There is a big western show and rodeo with lots of pomp and pageantry. One integral part of the big show is "Happy Canyon" and a big part of Happy Canyon is the dancing, drinking and a bit of gaming. There are several kinds of chips and tokens that have been used over the years. I have only picked up the three different types below.

This is my oldest chip. When I bought it I was told it was used to buy beer at Happy Canyon. The story was that the Indians were the only ones allowed to sell beer at the festival and they used these chips as script. I have no idea if the story is true or not but these are very nice plain mold chips and I have only seen them in this green color.
